Any specifics on which games? Does it work on any game? I tested Xonotic on a 144Hz monitor the other day and the highest FPS I got to see was ~90 with no tearing on Kubuntu liveiso but I was using Intel kaby lake integrated graphics, so I assume FreeSync was not at play here, even though the monitor supported it. I got my infinitybook 16 pro performance edition with RTX 3060 and I am pretty happy with it so far. However, I did run into an issue. I want to use PRIME for switchable graphics to not worry about rebooting when I need to switch to battery. However, I noticed that I run into issues when using that. I'm a big fan of Flare, and it was a sleeper hit for me because I didn't grow up with games like Diablo. It's open-source, and while it has a pretty short campaign in the vanilla version, it has a lot of fan-made campaigns and mods. Therefore, if a game has to use an off-the-shelf engine, at least make it an open-source engine like FLARE or O3DE. If you're picking libraries, use something permissively licensed, so you don't have to try to negotiate a commercial license to combine something with a copyleft, like recently happened to the remaster of the old Blade Runner point-and-click adventure game.
