I consistently use Canva to create featured images for my blog. The free version itself is amazing.
User friendly app for beginners, also their features are easy to use, and they have fun features too. Also they have multiple templates whatever you make you have many options. Also they support beginners in start.

I like xnip for screen shots. It doesn't do video captures but can take a variety of screen capture types, can do scrolling captures, and has built-in annotations. It can even annotate other images pasted from the clipboard and costs 1/2 of what CleanshotX does. Source: almost 3 years ago

Xnip is another good one. There is a free version with fewer features and a paid one. It supports built in annotation. If you need bare bones screen shot abilities for free, Macupdate shows another program called Menu Snappr that looks promising: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/63398/menu-snappr-ii. Anyone else using GoGuardian and have Canva setup as an App with SSO-integration to Google? We have Canva configured to appear in the Google "waffle" menu as an option, set to sign in with Google SSO. It all works fine, except today for some reason it's failing, but only when the GoGuardian VPN/Proxy app is active in the browser (so for all our students and faculty).
