While not a rewrite - one recent tool for making http requests which I quite enjoy is: https://github.com/ducaale/xh It's basically python httpie rewritten in rust. Given the recent update[0] pushed by the Insomnia team I am now looking for alternatives. For now the best alternative I've found is Bruno[1]. But sadly it does not support gRPC.
