Story Architect (STARC)'s answer:

What makes Story Architect unique is tools inside the app. It allows you to work on unlimited amount of episodes within one project as well as to include various types of text in the project (e.g. screenplay, plain text, audio drama, etc.). You can also store a pack of drafts and all the additional material in one place. There's no second app where you can build maps and profiles of relationships, locations and worlds so smoothly and with so many details. Once you run out of ideas or just need some help, AI-assistant is here to serve you, too. Not to mention, all of this is supported in 30+ languages (and this number is constantly getting bigger).

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

What's the story behind your product?

Story Architect (STARC)'s answer:

In 2013, programmer Dimka Novikov received a proposal to create film shoot planning software, sparking the idea for Kit Scenarist. By 2014, the first version was launched, capable of formatting scripts to international standards. English localizations arrived in 2016, marking the start of Kit Scenarist's global journey. In 2018, attempts to monetize through crowdfunding failed, also revealing architectural limitations.

In 2019, Dimka returned with a plan for a new software, leading to the birth of the Story Architect (or simply STARC). Released in 2021, STARC integrated six years of Kit Scenarist experience with significant technical improvements. By 2023, Kit Scenarist support ceased, and users transitioned to STARC. Today, STARC is a full-fledged program for authors, offering various subscription levels with advanced features.

  • What are your go-to resources you think every writer should know about?
Personally, OneLook Dictionary is my life's blood; especially the thesaurus version. Writer Duet is also great for screenwriting if you are like me and don't have the brain to remember the formatting (plus I think you can collab with other people on it, like G_Docs? I can't remember). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Do you really need the degree course on tv screenwriting on to write your own scripts? Should I just go ahead and buy 'Final draft' and dive straight in without three years if university screenwriting professors marking my work? I'm a philosophy student instead and love it but am I wrong to be?
Just use writerduet.com, no need to pay for Final Draft. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Help needed for writing
Hello! I am sorry that I post so much lol. I am currently using writerduet.com for writing, but I wanna know if there is a better option? I don't know if this is the correct subreddit or flair. Thank you! Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Story Architect (STARC) Themes
For those (like me) who use story architect for their screenwriting (a link), I have made some themes (inspired by some obsidian themes), as the basic theme is a bit boring. To use them, go into 'application settings', and then 'custom' for the user interface, then paste in the code. Source: 10 months ago
  • Arc Studio Pro Vs. Final Draft for writing episodic content with seasons/ TV series.
You also can try our application Story Architect, it's like a Scrivener meets Final Draft. You can organize series project with it and collect all things related to the project inside one place. Source: 11 months ago
  • What’s the “Final Draft” of Comic Script Software ?
If you want a basic software that'll get the job done you can try story architect or Starc. Source: 12 months ago
  • Hi I have a finished horror script
Highly suggest using a proper screenwriting program. There are plenty out there, some of which are also free - https://starc.app/, and some that have free options like https://www.arcstudiopro.com/ or https://www.fadeinpro.com/ (my personal favourite so far). Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking for Screenwriting App with this feature
Try Story Architect app. The main app concept in a middle between Scrivener and Final Draft. It allows you to organize script structure in a hierarchical way, and cards can reflect this hierarchy (like this). Source: about 1 year ago
