FROM LITERATURE & LATTE WEBSITE: Scrivener is the go-to app for writers of all kinds, used every day by best-selling novelists, screenwriters, non-fiction writers, students, academics, lawyers, journalists, translators and more. Tailor-made for long writing projects, Scrivener banishes page fright by allowing you to compose your text in any order, in sections as large or small as you like. Got a great idea but don't know where it fits? Write when inspiration strikes and find its place later. Grow your manuscript organically, idea by idea. In Scrivener, everything you write is integrated into an easy-to-use project outline. So working with an overview of your manuscript is only ever a click away, and turning Chapter Four into Chapter One is as simple as drag and drop. Need to refer to research? In Scrivener, your background material is always at hand, and you can open it right next to your work. Write a description based on a photograph. Transcribe an interview. Take notes about a PDF file or web page. Or check for consistency by referencing an earlier chapter alongside the one in progress. Once you're ready to share your work with the world, compile everything into a single document for printing, self-publishing, or exporting to popular formats such as Word, PDF, Final Draft or plain text. You can even share using different formatting, so that you can write in your favorite font and still satisfy those submission guidelines.

Story Architect (STARC)'s answer
In 2013, programmer Dimka Novikov received a proposal to create film shoot planning software, sparking the idea for Kit Scenarist. By 2014, the first version was launched, capable of formatting scripts to international standards. English localizations arrived in 2016, marking the start of Kit Scenarist's global journey. In 2018, attempts to monetize through crowdfunding failed, also revealing architectural limitations.
In 2019, Dimka returned with a plan for a new software, leading to the birth of the Story Architect (or simply STARC). Released in 2021, STARC integrated six years of Kit Scenarist experience with significant technical improvements. By 2023, Kit Scenarist support ceased, and users transitioned to STARC. Today, STARC is a full-fledged program for authors, offering various subscription levels with advanced features.

For those (like me) who use story architect for their screenwriting (a link), I have made some themes (inspired by some obsidian themes), as the basic theme is a bit boring. To use them, go into 'application settings', and then 'custom' for the user interface, then paste in the code. Source: 11 months ago
You also can try our application Story Architect, it's like a Scrivener meets Final Draft. You can organize series project with it and collect all things related to the project inside one place. Source: 12 months ago

Highly suggest using a proper screenwriting program. There are plenty out there, some of which are also free - https://starc.app/, and some that have free options like https://www.arcstudiopro.com/ or https://www.fadeinpro.com/ (my personal favourite so far). Source: about 1 year ago
