As I understand it, though, there's never been a better time to get into the freelance world. A lot of agencies had to downsize during Covid, and there's an attraction to paying skilled freelancers to whom you don't have to provide benefits. Honestly I was planning to move there so I got the job, but the work visa fell through (due to some really lame german education regulations) so I got to work remotely now.
