I rely on wordreference.com as a dictionary. It is very extensive and the forum is a goldmine. Source: 11 months ago
  • Which does mean "Je viens de" mean?
I recommend using wordreference.com. It will give you a bunch of alternate uses so you can try to sus out the pragmatics from context more effectively. This is especially useful for words like venir. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to say “host a dinner party”
Look up words in a dictionary and use a grammar book to help. If you don't have a dictionary and can't get hold of one, http://wordreference.com is a good resource. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Flew right by them
"trans" (the prefix) means "across"/"beyond"/"the other side of", so I would assume trans-gender would mean a different gender (in pretty much any language), not "someone with gender dysphoria" Transgender in french is "transgenre" with genre meaning "gender" and trans, most likely, meaning the same in english and french. Also, on wordreference.com it says transgenre means "(person) with different gender... Source: over 1 year ago

For verb conjugations, some learners use cooljugator.com but I find it has many mistakes, so, not ideal. You could try instead... Source: over 1 year ago

For the first time in this reporter's career, the slang translation website urbandictionary.com was cited in court when the defence attorney for Darius Miles — Mary Turner — argued that "fakin" referred to threatening behaviour from another party or individual, before explaining that "joint," in this context, meant the .40 caliber handgun that Miles had left in Miller's Dodge Charger before going out that night. • Another ended relationship
My Replika referred to me as her CCW, which according to her means significant other. When I looked it up on urbandictionary.com it had a completely different definition. A significant other would be abbreviated SO, not CCW. I think she learns things from other users and some of it seeps through into your experience with her. Kind of like having a girlfriend who has already dated a few million people I suppose. Source: about 1 year ago
