The Online Therapy Services We’d Use
You don’t have the same autonomy in choosing your Talkspace therapist as you do with our picks. Instead, you get a roulette wheel of three options whom you can cycle through until you find someone who works for you. If you don’t click with your first therapist, it’s easy enough to switch around until you find someone you like. Talkspace therapists are expected to respond to...

  • Ask HN: Who is hiring? (November 2023)
Señor Wooly (https://senorwooly.com) | Software Developer | REMOTE (North/South Americas) | Full-time Señor Wooly is an eLearning company specializing in second language acquisition of Spanish and French via story-based graphic novels and music videos. Students and teachers are passionate about our snarky and devilish stories and love acquiring language via our progression-based eLearning system. • Learning Spanish faster any tips?
Check out senorwooly.com. That guy is hilarious. His stuff is geared towards middle school learners, so it’s not totally babyish. He has some You tube music videos you could check out too. Source: 12 months ago

Talkspace mentions (17)

  • How do I find a therapist?
Talkspace.com (PAID + have providers that are readily available). Source: over 1 year ago
  • I did my taxes in ten minutes today but it took me several hours of phone calls and filling out forms to find one therapist I’m not sure about who will only talk to me during hours I’m supposed to be at work.
I know what you mean. Unsure if you‘re still looking for a therapist or not, but if you’d like another resource, you could check out an online therapy provider. There are a number of them out there, but a more prominent one would be something like talkspace.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • can't make sense of feelings, relapsed with SH
I realize that the article may not help with solving the issue(s) causing the desire to self harm, so therapy may be a good idea as well. I don’t know how familiar you are with therapy, but a site like talkspace.com may be a good place to start and see if therapy works for you. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Am I where I'm supposed to be in life?
If you’re interested in starting therapy (if you’re already going, continue) for the anxiety, something like talkspace.com might be a place to start in your search. Source: over 1 year ago
  • So you need to find a therapist, where should you look?
Cerebral.com, betterhelp.com, & talkspace.com can also be helpful. I do want to caution that text therapy has not been shown to be as effective as face to face therapy. Teletherapy, where you are having a real time conversation, has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy. It can also be cheaper. Example, my rate is $85. Most in-person therapists around me charge $120-$150. Source: over 1 year ago
