There is a great website (wikitree.com) that has a group dedicated to helping resolve NPEs all way back through your tree, as much as they can. Obviously the more recent, the more people tested, and the more accurate/available the public records are the easier it'll be, but you might want to enlist their help. Source: about 1 year ago

I am hoping if anyone can find any proof Jonathan Ferris' wife was Elizabeth Mead that they could show me. Many public family trees including wikitree.com (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ferris-1017) claim his wife was a Elizabeth Mead. He is one of the possibilities I am nulling through to be the father of Haviland Ferris born 1790s. If Jonathan Ferris' wife is not Elizabeth Mead I think it could of been somebody... There are many programs you can enroll her in BUT if she wants to work at her own pace you can look online for what your state/municipality expects a child to know in each year.
