Top 10 3D Model Databases: The Best Sites to Download 3D Models for 3D Printing
Thingiverse is probably one of the biggest and most popular databases. It has a very active maker community behind it and offers free-to-use STL files only. You don’t even need to open an account in order to download a 3D model from their site. Sometimes the database can seem slightly less organized than the cleaner and simpler design of sites like Pinshape and Cults.

  • Does anyone have the files for the 3d printed cat armor?
a few months ago I found files for cat armor on thingiverse.com. My sister has a cat and is into odd things like this so it was a PERFECT gift for christmas. Only after the pieces were printed, and painted did it get thrown away accidentally. I was hoping they were available somewhere or somebody might still have them. - Source: Reddit / 1 day ago
  • Some ads slip through. I check quieres and blacklist them, but I still get the ad. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've scraped the web pages' source code. You can search for "HTTP" or something else. Those that do get through, are Amazon ads. I'm stuck on Thingiverse, some always get through. I've globally added amazon.com and thingiverse.com. To my black lists. I've not found the solution on a few of those. I notice on my Android devices, that my news tool is "SmartNews". It has every HTML page with "page not found" on... - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago
  • Looking to make some cool stuff with my printer. Please send me or tell me so to get some files to put on my SD card and put directly onto my printer.
I know of a pretty small and niche website called thingiverse.com, idk if anyone has told you about it before. - Source: Reddit / 3 days ago
  • My RGB Elegy for the end that I built for hoyofest
One thing that you can do to make your build sturdier is 3D print some pegs and put them in the holes on each part before glueing them together. Also, your 3D model looks very blocky. I usually check out thingiverse.com for 3D models. - Source: Reddit / 11 days ago
  • Which Ad Block lists are more effective and which ad blocking test do you recommend?
I needed to refresh (build a new image) I added most of the global URLs listed in this thread. I only have 2 ads that obnoxiously show up on thingiverse.com . I needed to add one single URL from looking at a "page source" page and MSN and CNN were fully clean. I have my pihole running on a Pi-3A+, the CPUs literally show 0 on CPU usage. I have around 15 clients attached to it. - Source: Reddit / 20 days ago
