• An idea concerning the potential of Payday 3's servers shutting down, and a lead on what to do about it

  Here's my two cents: if somebody can look at what makes the online-only parts of the code tick, we might be able to engineer a sort of workaround that makes Payday 3 believe that the servers are still online. An example of the kind of thing I'm talking about is Wiimmfi; the Wii's online servers were deactivated, but there exists a workaround that brings them back to life, as it were.   Heyo, ive had tons of trouble with setting up my wiimmfi on my mkwii iso, and I cant find any threads that have helped. Im running a patched iso through usbgx, (2tb hard drive in wbfs) and the core game runs fine, but the wii softlocks at the connecting to wiimmfi screen.   If you launch MKWii from a USB loader, it's just as simple as going into the game-specific settings in the USB loader, then setting the private server to wiimmfi.de. Source: 12 months ago

  The mystery gift distribution for the ds titles is not an exploit and I have no idea where that notion came from. Ds and wii fan servers are being deliberately hosted by the guys at wiimfi and, as part of that, they've enabled every past pokemon wifi event. 3ds and wii u multiplayer servers are still up so there's been no need to set up fan servers yet.   If you are asking instead how to still do gen4 trading even tho nintendo shut off the servers I recommend taking a look at "https://wiimmfi.de/" they host a fake nintendo server so trading works again. Source: about 1 year ago

  How you connect to your modem will depend on the device you are using, but for windows laptops as an example you download the OpenVPN program and input your modem details there, much like you would any other vpn service. • Is it possible for a sysadmin to block only some packets from a VPN connection ?

  I too haven't used the client-nat directive in some years (I currently implement 1:1 NAT with pfsense to access my network because I'm too lazy to change the networks subnet from the default) so I decided to retest and it does appear that OpenVPN Connect clients do not properly support the client-nat directive but the traditional OpenVPN server/clients still do.
