Something to add to their list of common passwords is the What3Words database of locations https://what3words.com It's something like 50trillion sets of looks-random strings. That's quite a lot, but if the list could be narrowed very significantly to get some likely results by selecting locations in: 1) cities where a company is physically located 2) large capital & global cities 3) significant landmarks I see... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago

I assume this is the problem that https://what3words.com/ is trying to solve. But I guess it being in English makes it a less good solution. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
Crashing in a Metro Park follows very similar recommendations as to what’s above. However, accurately describing your location along our Metro Parks Greenway trails and systems can often be tricky! And just for that reason, the parks department uses the app What3Words to help people share their exact location with emergency responders. Whether you’ve crashed or come across someone who needs aid for any reason,... Source: 9 months ago
I've been having fund with a game I call Worst3Words, trying to find the worst What3Words (https://what3words.com/) address. The meaning of worst is flexible e.g. Confusing ///senses.census.send Offensive ///retain.towers.slip (look up the location) Or just... Odd ///aargh.send.help But has to be valid. Have you tried looking at https://www.opencyclemap.org/ or something like komoot.com? OCM will show you the cycle routes around (as /u/CaptRik says, the 236 national cycle route will take you there - looks to be a simple route), and Komoot can do a route plan for you between two points which you can follow in an app and also shows a breakdown of what type of surface and road you'll be on. For your route, it's... Source: about 1 year ago
I usually use komoot (komoot.com, but there's also an app). IIRC it's paid, if you want the maps offline (can be bought for $10 on sale, otherwise $30). Do note that not all countries are supported, so best to check this out first.. Source: about 1 year ago
Got any friends that cycle? See if you can borrow a bike and go for a ride with one of them for an hour or two one evening - just get used to being on the road, how to signal, etc. If you're already comfy on a bike then it'll come really easy, and your fitness will build surprisingly fast too. Also maybe have a look on something like Komoot to check out possibly routes, Oxford has a surprising amount of little... Source: about 1 year ago
Just downloaded Arc, very interesting, excited to try this new experience. I use komoot.com a lot to plan my bike rides, but when I opened it in Arc, it seems like it cannot render the map section because of Komoot not being able to access WebGL. Did anyone experience similar problems, even with other websites? Source: about 1 year ago
You can use other route finder like strava.com , komoot.com, ridewithgps.com. Source: about 1 year ago
