I've reverted back to using Windows for my dev environment using Laragon. I like my Windows dev environment, Laragon is quick, easy to change Node or PHP versions, I've used it for years, so I'm familiar with it. I may duel boot my new laptop in the future, it does have a slot for a second M2 SSD, but for now, I'm happy with my setup. - Source: Reddit / 9 days ago

After years of using XAMMP I've switched to Laragon https://laragon.org/ and never look back. It's lightweight portable local server. Try it... For making copies of sites I'm using Duplicator plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ 4 GB is way too much, so just make database copy and transfer files via FTP to your local server. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
