You're not in the way, and I doubt any of the older timers are thinking that. Use an app called sleepytime calculator. The trick is waking up between increments of 1 and a half hours to avoid grogginess. https://wakeupti.me/ is a good website for that. Free Alarm Clock can do precisely that. I have been using it for a number of years. There is an install and a portable version on the site. The only thing that it cannot do is to switch the audio source for example if the audio output is set to front headphones, it cannot select rear audio output.
