  Well this was only done because we were promised access to games on the cloud. If they started a new line of products/hardware like the pixel watch and it fails, don't expect to get your $ back. This is a super rare case. It would be like vudu.com shutting down after you paid for 100 movies. I'd expect them to let me download my movies or transfer them to another live service.   I can't help you with costs but I read that MP4s are much smaller than GIFs so you could consider converting any format to MP4 before it's hosted. There's a Linux version of FFMPEG that could be hosted online that could do the conversion. Also, certain sites like Reddit only accept GIF's created on giphy.com, if there's a way around this, I'd love to know. Source: 11 months ago
