  1. Not full reports

Even though reports are free I can't say they are very informative enough. And how do I know if I can trust these reports?

👎 Cons:    Not a full cdn solution

  • Free VIN lookup sites are pulling fake data.
Out of curiosity, I gave vincheck.info a spin and compared it to carfax and autocheck. While the carfax and autocheck match perfectly, the vincheck data is 99% fabricated. These were my own vehicles and so I at least know the history during my ownership which is reflected in carfax and autocheck. Would love to have other redditors confirm as these fake data sites are leading people to make some horrible car... Source: 5 months ago
  • Help with Texas car title
Go to https://vincheck.info/ and enter the VIN. Go through all the screens and at the end you'll get to a screen where it asks your email and name (I just used a disposable email in the off chance they spam) and it will show you a title check report that checks against the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS). It might give you info about what the gray/blue is referring to. As far as I know,... Source: 10 months ago
  • Reasonable price for a used Camry 2012 LE, 137k miles
I could only check the car by using the VIN number on vincheck.info, iseecars.com, but their reports seem less reliable and complete than those of carfax. Source: 10 months ago
  • Kind of a long shot, but looking for the person who bought my car that I traded off. I have the factory top tonneau cover for it. Supposedly these things are worth over a grand. You would have bought the car from Bachman in Louisville, Ky.
It could have been sold anywhere. Dealers frequently trade cars with other dealerships or sell them at auctions. See when/where it was last sold https://vincheck.info/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • So when a motorist hit another car in Cheektowaga NY, this was the response when the striker was asked for insurance information
Https://vincheck.info is my go to free vin report site. But I don't think you'll find anything too interesting in a vin report. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Diesel 'rip-off' as wholesale prices cheaper than petrol for over a month, RAC says
You need to look at the app called Fuelio. Its core purpose was to record your fill ups but the part of the app you just described is called 'nearby'. Its currently telling me I have 109 stations within 10 miles of me, the average prices for the area, the best price, the nearest pump and the top rated. Its crowdsourced from those who use the app so its not always reliable but its a good start. I've used it since... Source: about 1 year ago
  • The 2009 Prius I just bought is getting an average of 60 mpg
I can recommend the Fuelio app for tracking your fuel consumption and maintenance costs. Really useful for seeing how this compares over time. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Does anyone know an app/website I can download that will calculate my projected gas expenses?
I use Fuelio to log my mileage. It helps keep track of mpg, price trends, and other things. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Have to drive 150+miles/2+ hours to a gig. Can I bill for mileage? If so how?
I've been using Mile-IQ for a few years tracking every drive, combined with fuel.io to track vehicle maintenance and fuel stops. My CPA hasn't complained about the data yet. Source: over 2 years ago
