  • Why are online code courses so damn boring?
I’ve only found some super niche ones that really walk you through some practical use-cases, or have some sort of theme (e.g. vim.so or this one I recently came across https://tigyog.app/d/C-I1weB9CpTH/r/everyday-data-science). Source: over 1 year ago
  • I will be a software engineer and was wondering what are good side hustles I can do?
I did not make vim.so just to be clear, its just a recent example of a small recent project I came across that does not seem too intense but probably generated a decent amount of money. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I will be a software engineer and was wondering what are good side hustles I can do?
Build something! There are tons of people making small sites that are relatively cheap but help generate some income and are a passion project. I personally have a side business that requires very little work and generates some extra cash every month. Examples of this are things like https://vim.so, https://thedailybyte.dev, https://llamalife.co, https://www.getcyberleads.com and the list goes on. Even if you... Source: over 2 years ago
  • vim.so is $10 right meow!
I don't think that is fair, vim.so is obviously a proper learning game someone has spent a lot of time and effort on. If you want to save money, maybe:. Source: over 2 years ago

Can you share how this compares to slip.so (this is the same guy behind vim.so) in term of prices, how many customers do you have currently, current revenue, and other details like how you got this idea, or is just a clone or the other are clones from you, how long is this on the market and so. Thanks. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Making an Adventure game at work, would love to get peoples opinions on the genre
Obviously I’m committed to the genre since I’m here! I used to follow adventure game developers and fans when I was on twitter. I now lurk on a few discords. Unfortunately the review and news site I’ve relied on since I was a child, Adventure Gamers, is in some funding/ownership flux, but it’s still online. Adventure Game Hotspot was started recently, perhaps to fill a similar space. I also find pretty good... Source: 12 months ago
  • [PC][1997-2003][WALKING SIMULATOR/INTERACTIVE FICTION]
Other details: I am pretty sure this would have been a free download of some kind-not a paid game. It also would have likely been an independent project. I lived on AGS games/Big Blue Cup and adventuregamers.com in those days-playing all those freeware point and click type games...so I probably stumbled across this somewhere around there. I can't even remember the story line-but I assume there had to be one as... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Finding it difficult to get good adventure games
Also check out https://adventuregamers.com/ and browse through the reviews, top 10 lists for each year etc and I'm sure you'll find a load of games that pique your interest and are available on Mac. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Grim Fandango - does it get better?
I had the same trouble with Grim Fandago which is for some people the best adventure game ever (cf adventuregamers.com). Well sorry I couldn't get into it. It was one of the game that made me realize how much I cared about the scumm style pixel art adventure game. I can't stand 3d in adventure games. Source: about 1 year ago
