20 Programs to Analyze and Benchmark Your Hardware
Where Unigine benchmarks focuses on 3D graphics, this one is all about your storage -- specifically, how quickly it can read and write data to them, in various ways. CrystalDiskMark is very basic, but there's nothing wrong with that.

  • Any homelabbers familiar with gpu passthrough to Linux vm with ESXi? To be specific, I'd like to know how I can determine whether my vm is actually using the gpu for 3d graphics acceleration.
You could download an Unigine benchmark. If it runs like crap... You don't have acceleration (should be obvious). Where crap is anything less than 30fps (likely it will be far less). Source: about 1 year ago
  • NR200P max fans go crazy and pc crashes
If it's still happening, throw Memtest onto a spare USB, boot to that, and let it run through your RAM for errors. Then check your SSDs (your SSD manufacturer likely has a tool for this). Download and run a GPU benchmark/stress test, Unigine makes a few good ones, MSI Kombustor or Furmark, are good ones that I've used frequently for diagnostic work. Also run CPU stress tests like AIDA64, Prime95, Cinebench R23... Source: about 1 year ago

  • How do you go down to 2 cores?
In our testing, for example, we found that disabling some of the Z13’s cores leads to longer battery life. Our best results were with 2 Performance-cores enabled and no Efficient-cores. With fewer cores enabled, the system doesn’t have to use as much power, so the battery was able to last longer in both the Modern Office and Gaming benchmarks of PCMark 10. Source: 12 months ago
  • I am superior.
I don't think that a massive uptime would be something that would show in a synthetic workload, like Cinebench. Those things are very good at maxing the computing power they require. The difference with high uptime machines would probably be the time it takes for the Cinebench to actually open after double clicking the icon.PCMark might show something, since it actually measures things that are not just about raw...
