  • Are there any good billing and inventory management software for linux?
OpenBravo POS used to be ok, it even worked with barcode readers. But you could also manually punch up a sales receipt and it would adjust on hand numbers automatically. But Open Bravo has moved on to a cloud paid model. However there a few forks from the before time, like Unicenta, but I've never used that one and can only vouch for what it was back in the day. • ISO: simple, affordable, non-cloud *only*, POS
I would recommend going with https://opensourcepos.org/ or https://unicenta.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Simple bar/restaurant POS software
Unicenta works pretty well on a POS that I salvaged from a shop closure last year (no reason for doing so - just thought it would be cool to have one for the hell of it). Runs on Linux as well as Windows if you want to escape Windows Embedded 7. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Those not in IT or CompSci related professions but prefer Linux, what do you do for a living?
Looks like Unicenta is an alternative POS that can be self-hosted and is licensed as GPL-3.0-or-later. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Dinner at The Cork
First time for us since Jonathan sold the place to new owners. Happy to report it's still an adult venue, with much the same decor and ambience. The menu seems unchanged. Was a bit taken aback when our server informed us the bowl of bread normally placed on the table is now four bucks. Actually saw a guy at another table putting his bread in a to-go box ... Including the little balls of butter it comes with. No... Source: 5 months ago
  • I have one night to have a nice dinner in the city— where should I go?
Use https://opentable.com to see what's available at what rating and within your budget. Source: 10 months ago
  • Restaurants: Alternative to Foreign Cinema?
Look on OpenTable for restaurants that can seat that size party on the date you want, and who serve the type of food you want to eat. Source: 11 months ago
  • Venue that can accommodate 40-50 persons?
If you're looking for something like a bar or restaurant that provides food, look on OpenTable for places that will serve such a crowd in the neighborhood and at the time(s) you want. Source: 12 months ago
  • Lunch suggestions
How many people will you have in your party? I'd recommend OpenTable to find a place that suits your budget and cuisine preferences. Source: almost 1 year ago
