UENI is an international tech company that is empowering local businesses to get online. We don’t just build unique websites that businesses can be proud of — we’re there for each step of the journey, providing all the tools and support that small businesses need to boost their online presence.
Founder Christine Telyan grew up in a small town in New Jersey, where small businesses were constantly under threat from bigger brands and large online retailers. Later, she experienced how ordinary customers just could not find quality service professionals and local businesses when searching online. In 2014, she and co-founder Anh Pham Vu created UENI as a way to get independent businesses online and help them succeed. Our team of over 90 professionals works every day to improve the outcomes for independent businesses who need hands-on support to grow.
At UENI we believe that customers should have more choice and transparency, and we’re helping small businesses to provide it. From service providers like dentists and plumbers to photographers or restaurant owners, our mission is to make all businesses visible online.

In all it’s a great service provided by UENI, I like it how they have a lot of Google Business features and you can sync it with your website which is great for your business, especially if you’re starting out. However, their templates are very, very restrictive and not many options available, even on the paid plans, for their Plus plan I was expecting a whole lot more flexibility and design features, for this amount you can go across to Wix or Squarespace and you get lots more for your money. Customer service was great, and help was there whenever I messaged them on Chat, which is great. But unfortunately, they do not have a website for everyone, and I’m one of those person’s. The basic need to fit a portrait or landscape photo on either of their templates is not met, I struggled with fitting most of of my pictures (about 95% of it) that would show up as a whole on the listing layout, so if you’re selling products and you want to showcase these, which is an essential part of a business, this website is most likely not for you. Having pictures displayed in half or cut off is extremely frustrating, the phone layout is even worse, everything is displayed horizontally and this will for sure cut off all your pictures.
Initial set up of website had information that i had not given, they had pulled it from my other buisiness website and it related to a different buisiness. I had to change this around however support from customer service was good.
Early days but I'm very impressed. Very easy to use and update your website. Having a one of payment is really helpful for small and new businesses.

I'm trying for like 4 days straight to achieve effect like below in Elementor. It's quite easy if the image will have position: absolute/fixed, but then the image is out of the grid. I tried a section with 2 columns, left w. text, right with image being sticked to the top, and then duplicating it 3 times, but there's the initial scroll of the images on the right anyway. I played with transparency scroll effect... Source: about 2 years ago
Each day, our content writers publish one post. At the moment we use WebFlow CMS [1], which was easy to setup, but its limitations start to show as we grow our publishing rate (no real collaboration, weird editor, etc.). How do you publish content (multiple writers, technical and non-technical posts with rich media, SEO friendly)? [1] https://webflow.com/cms. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
