Before using Lumigo I worked with clients on all sorts of hacks to debug Serverless Apps. This involved cluttering the code base with logs and deciphering the output on CloudWatch. A fellow consultant told us about his success with Lumigo. We decided to give it a go. Within minutes, our customers started to enjoy meaningful, actionable insights. All our clients now probably enjoy a reduction of about 60 percent in our time-to-response has been cut by about 60 percent.
I've been using Lumigo in the past year. It's been helping me find underline issues that are much harder to find compared to cloudwatch, it puts everything in a unified view and reduces the need to move between a list of logs in CloudWatch. I like the alerts that come out of the box and especially the integration with external tools, noo need for me to write any Lambda to interact with my Slack channel.
Best onboarding of an APM I've seen. No code changes and literally 5 clicks. Really helps the team spot production glitches and understand root cause immediately.
I love the idea of presenting distributed system flow via visual maps !

CS is computer science. Also check out edx.com It is hosted by Harvard and if you pay for the course which is very little you get a certificate from them. There is also groupings of courses were you can get a business certificate. Also check out udemy.com. Wait for the specials for $10-15. Core coding and IT skills are a must though. Pick a language you followed and liked at Uni, check there is decent job demand for it, and do a udemy.com course on it (great value, great content, very cheap). Pair this with a major cloud (Azure or AWS) qualification which is pretty much a must these days, and you're much more attractive as an applicant. Source: 11 months ago
Prompting is so new I don't think a degree is offered yet, but Microsoft has some accredited classes (FREE) - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/ and you can get a certificate on AI and chatGPT from https://udemy.com , I got a few from them :). Source: 12 months ago
I am studying Salesforce administrator fundamentals at udemy.com. I am taking this course where the instructor provides a checklist of all the topics/subjects you will see in the test. For example, according to the instructor, who passed his administrator certification on his first try, teach the specific concepts you will see in the test. If you're prepared to do self-study, take a look at the udemy.com learning site. I paid somewhere in the region of £15 (they retail for around £60-70 in general but always come on sale at some point) for a number of courses (incl. languages). No Indicators of Success - As much as we'd all like it, observability tools don't automatically track your business metrics. You can add APM vendors like BaseLime, Lumigo, and DataDog to your account, but unless you intentionally add meaningful metrics to track your KPIs, you're left in the dark.
