What do you mean by "unconventional"? When I ordered, The guy did it all over the phone for me, I was told I had to buy a modem from them or I could trade mine in for the same since they are not allowing new devices on the network. I traded a Netgear M1 Nighthawk for a Mofi router they had already activated. He even sent me a T-Mobile sim and att sim so I could see what worked best. I went with ATT since they had... Things were going great until they changed to these new sim cards, I was told by another provider they changed service to go through their own APN and it was to slow everyone down and caps data. After changing the sim to the new one ubifi provided I sat for 5 days with on and off service with a 1000ms ping the whole time. Iv updated the firmware and... Source: over 2 years ago

  • will t-mobile get upset if they found out I use a mofi?
I am in this exact situation also. 100% work from home and just moved to the country. The highest data cap I found was to use https://unlimitedville.com/ its 500gb, but you can get multiple plans. I may do that I use about .9-1.2TB of throughput a month when I was on the grid. It is a little pricey though, but my best option so it's worth I feel. Source: over 1 year ago
