  • As someone who works from coffee shops often, I WISH the MacOS volume glyph would reflect a connected device like iOS does
If you're willing to dabble with some code, there's a fantastic app called Ubersicht that adds custom stuff to your desktop. I know, you're probably thinking "That's not at ALL what I want!" but I bet you could use it to put an icon in the bottom left or right corner of your screen to show when your audio is connected to your AirPods instead of the speakers, or something like that. • Is there any alternative of Rainmeter for Mac? I got this app on my Windows laptop and I want something similar for my Mac. Thanks!
There is an app called Ubersicht that does some of what Rainmeter allows you to do on Windows. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Essential macOS-only apps for 2023
Übersicht, an application that allows you to make your own desktop widgets (can execute system commands and see their output displayed in little containers). This can be used to virtually replace the default menu bar on mac. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How interested are you in placing widgets directly on your desktop in MacOS?
Have you looked into Überschict? My current desktop has a calendar and a few other things displayed on it in semi-transparent windows. https://tracesof.net/uebersicht/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • App LIST!!!
Uebersicht (Free) Übersicht lets you run system commands and display their output on your desktop in little containers, called widgets. Widgets are written using HTML5, which means they are easy to write and customize can show data in tables, charts, graphs ... You name it can react to different screen sizes (I did make an Evangelion (If you get where that's from ❤️) system monitor for it... Yeah really cool,... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Mac OS X Tiger Theme for Mojave?
You can change the system font to Lucida Grande with macOSLucidaGrande, you can customize the folder icons with ClassicFolders, you can customize the icons with LiteIcon and the icon set from this GitHub repo, you can customize the dock with cDock (paid but only costs $10 USD and has a free trial), and you can download the Mac OS X Tiger wallpaper from here. The window titlebars buttons are a little bit more... Source: over 1 year ago
  • My OS X Leopard theme on a 2017 MacBook Air running Mojave
And to change the icons, download LiteIcon: https://freemacsoft.net/liteicon/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Broke out the old 2007 MacBook running 10.7.5. Anybody else use candy bar back then and browse deviant art for new icons/theming? Miss those days!
It was possible until macOS Big Sur come out. http://freemacsoft.net/liteicon/. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Am I the only one who prefer macOS 10.10/10.15 GUI era over macOS 11?
I much prefer the GUI of 10.15, but I like the Big Sur icons specifically, especially all the fan-made ones for third party apps. So I used LiteIcon and changed all my app icons, even though I’m still on Catalina for software support reasons (and partially for the GUI lol). Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Is there a "theme" for MacOS to get the Big Sur icons on Sierra for example?
There is a tini and handi apps for that icon change, and thousands of icon on web Icon change software. Source: about 3 years ago
