It is very well built with simplicity in mind. There are several themes and all of them look amazing. I love the "typewriter" and "focus" mode. Evernote was ok for a little bit, but the only thing it really did for me was search... Once I realized that I switched tactics. I organized my life into domains, and got okay at using grep to replace it. My saving grace that I would pay twice for is https://typora.io. It's just CommonMark, Gruber was ticked off enough that he declined to allow them to use the term Markdown at all. Alone among the variations, or nearly so, he's fine (as your link indicates) with Git-Flavored Markdown. The thing is, they didn't fork it, they decided to "standardize" it. Aha that's just an inline footnote, we support both in Supernotes. So you can quickly write ^[Name of Reference] (that will auto assign it the number 1 once rendered) rather than [^1] ...
