And also the weird thing that I saw is when you go take their survey so they can take your commission, they sent you to a weird ”typeform.com” link which apparently is a website that allowed them to have a web based platform they can use to create surveys without needing to...   When in doubt, go to the website of the company they say they are representing and login to check your account. It will be fine. Note: DO NOT do this by googling the company. Go to the actual website, directly. bankofamerica.com , americanexpress.com, microsoft.com, etc. Source: 12 months ago

  So, by default, Android is configured so that random games and apps you install aren't allowed to change the hosts file. Otherwise, they could drop an entry in there saying that facebook.com is now some IP address that they own, or bankofamerica.com, or whatever and steal your data without you ever suspecting a thing.
