Weeks ago when tutanota became tuta I had same issues...wouldnt allow me log in. I clicked links provided by tuta to "migrate" data...never worked. Few days later...i was able to log in at https://mail.tutanota.com/login and continued until today, when my credentials were not "valid" anymore so tried at tuta.com and same thing. Another compromise between self hosting and using "big tech" email providers is to use smaller email providers. I have been using https://kolabnow.com/ for a five years or so and am a happy customer. Likewise, I expected kolab to appear in TFA's list of evaluated options, as I knew it has been around for a while and covered most (all?) of the author's requirements. IIRC it was a key element in Munich's initial 'let's move to GNU/Linux' project, so I imagined it had received a LOT of updates for those few years.
