tsocks VS FoxyProxy

I will say your link with ssh -D, that got me through college, so I can confirm it works, but it will only route traffic that supports a proxy, I used tsocks to add the function to other apps, looks like no updates in 15 years, no idea if it still works. Source: over 1 year ago

Most web browsers have a quick proxy switcher extension and I recommend you use that if you do tunnel your traffic over ssh. My personal favorite is FoxyProxy. A couple things to note is if your using socks5 with a browser, check the box proxy DNS over socks5. If you use firefox go to about:config, accept the warning. Consider using the FoxyProxy browser extension. You won't need to use proxychains command to start firefox every time, can setup multiple proxy settings (like for Burpsuit, ZAP, TOR, etc...) and change between then with a simple click. Https://getfoxyproxy.org/. Source: over 2 years ago
