You won't avoid interfacing with an API. Even if you don't want to use Stripe/PayPal, you'll need to wrestle with a banks own API or some kind of broker. TrueLayer is a popular way in Europe to access banks that support the Open Banking API. It's peculiar considering it works fine for most games (R6S, GTAV, LoL, Valorant) but it's these odd situations that makes just light browsing a huge pain.
