I came across this project after seeing a mod for the game Balatro [1] that used the artwork from the original Solitaire sourced from this repo. The README was so wholesome I thought. The developer obviously put a lot of care and attention into creating something they're proud of and hoped others would enjoy. I spent countless hours playing the DF2 demo that came on one of the computer magazine CDs in India (PC Quest I think). Does it actually work though? Ironically my experience is that windows api + proton are a more stable target than anything linux native. Even valve doesn't get it always right when shipping linux versions of their own games. If you set it to POWER_SAVING instead of 3D_FULL_SCREEN, it uses the highest boost clock a lot less. Or if you use something like corectrl's application profiles (maybe the Windows vendor driver control panel has them?), you can selectively disable boost clock states in specific games. I'm bias toward Asus motherboards. I have an "Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II" and a "Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI) ATX". Both boards have a fan control feature in the BIOS/EFI.
