I have a Tonal machine (tonal.com), which is essentially a cable machine that hangs on the wall. Tonal install requirements are really specific and they send you all the hardware to use, which are rated for 2x4 studs that are floor to ceiling. I use this app called Alarmy. It’s the only thing that has me get up. To turn off the alarm, you have to complete a “mission”. The best/most reliable mission I’ve been able to use has been the barcode reader. I set the alarm to be disabled by needing to scan a shampoo bottle.
