You use iTerm shortcuts instead. You can customize those as you like. So it feels just like using iTerm, but the panes are running in tmux. This is built using WTFUtil and runs on a dedicated raspberry pi that I have hooked up to a spare monitor on my desk. The "Network" and "Services" section use a custom bash script that I hacked together in a couple hours, and the "SkyLab" banner is my homelab's MOTD, but everything else is just using the built-in WTFUtil plugins.
