On the more positive side, I got my five security cameras running in a browser window, so I can keep tabs on them while watching a movie or whatever in another window. Well that's exactly the thing. Atm I am using motionEYE, but I have 3 streams that have to run at full 2K resolution in order to get a clear jpeg.
