I have a bit of an image-hoarding obsession and spend a lot of time researching pictures I find online in great depth. This involves using sites like tineye.com, Reddit, and Pinterest to identify the source of an image, then tracking down the history, maker, and theory behind it. It's 10m per pixel. If you need better resolution you have to buy images from Maxar, Airbus or Planet. A good reseller is https://imagehunter.apollomapping.com/ They are also interested in smaller customers and have a really good service. Source: about 1 year ago

I know you said you want a free platform, but if you are able to pay, two sources I would check are Planet, which sounds like it might be ideal for you except that it doesn't go very far back in time, and Apollo, which is a multi-source reseller with a good browse tool. If neither of them has what you want, it probably doesn't exist or can't be bought. Source: about 1 year ago
