I don’t think comments make a story more visible on HN, it’s not like https://tildes.net/ My belief actually is that visibility of posts is suppressed if they get, say, 20 comments and already have 50 votes. Well lets just say, that creating an application that can be put into the market and would generate some revenue, not talking about millions here but just something that a small amount of clients would be after.
