  1. PayPal is cool

I like PayPal, it has a high security standard. Except when I am the one suffering a chargeback for some flimsy reasons.

Best money transfer apps of 2021
With Vemno clearly pitching itself at the younger market, PayPal’s app maintains the more corporate look and feel. Its tight security measures – making you enter your password every time you open the app, for example – further emphasizes the business heritage. While this may feel like a slight inconvenience, it’s surely a wise security measure.

  • core-js maintainer: “So, what’s next?”
This problem has already been partially solved by Tidelift. He even mentions them in his blog post, they used to send him $1000 a month. Unfortunately it sounds like they're not legally allowed to fund him at the moment because Russia. $1000 a month is not a lot considering the amount of work this guy is putting in, so Tidelift's model may not be sustainable but it's still an interesting business model. • mold (linker) - Problem with my open-source startup
Alternatively, companies like tidelift are trying to fix this; you may want to check with them if they'd be interested in adding your project to the fold, though I believe they are focusing more on libraries in library-heavy ecosystems such as java, nodejs, and python. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Trying to activate PayPal just brings me to PayPal's website.
(I live in USA) When I go to payments under my shopify account to add paypal as a payment method I am having trouble doing so. I first click activate paypal > activate paypal express checkout which directs me to a "security challenge" (confirm I am not a robot). Then it just brings me to paypals website (paypal.com/us/home). When I sign in nothing happens, I am just on my paypal homescreen. Source: over 1 year ago
