  • Does anyone use the same Bible app on their mobile and desktop?
OP knows about BibleTime, which is an App that uses Crosswire Sword project's engine for its reader. See the comment above. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking for a certain kind of Bible...
I recommend something based around the SWORD module system (https://crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp). It doesn't get much love because it's open-source (i.e., maintained by a bunch of geeks), but it's a robust way to study the Bible. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Does 2 Kings 3 mean God was defeated?
Mostly, it comes down to the basis of God's promise. I didn't get into the Hebrew version, but I recommend SWORD modules if you want some serious study: https://crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Hotel Bibles?
For me, I prefer any study bible tied to the SWORD project: https://crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp. Nothing beats studyrific like technology! Source: almost 3 years ago

  • I am looking into different bibles to compare and learn from them.
Biblegateway.com is a great resource for doing what you want to do. Source: 6 months ago
  • Online bibles?
I use both Bible.com and biblegateway.com. Both offer more versions than you can think of. Both have apps as well. Source: 6 months ago
  • How do you find specific bible verses when you need them?
Sometimes at tough times I want to go back to a verse my pastor offered but I usually forget which ones later. I can email him but at 1am I just want to find the verse, read it, and contemplate the situation. More likely is that I'm talking with a friend and they have an issue that I know my Pastor had a verse for and I just can't remember it. Sometime I remember enough to search biblegateway.com or bible.com on... Source: 9 months ago
  • Continuing Discussion: If Jewish Mythology is itself derivative, how can Jesus be who He says He is?
Second, the cultural divide. Our society has nothing in common with the societies represented in the Bible other than the rich screwing over the poor. Sexuality was not the same. Masculinity and femininity were not the same. The law and politics were not the same. The languages were so different that we don't even know what they sounded like. Even Ancient Hebrew is educated guesses. I help get around this with my... Source: 11 months ago
