The Costumemaster mentions (1)

  • SpriteKit or Unity?
I developed The Costumemaster for the Mac last year using Swift and SpriteKit, and it was alright for what it was, though now I'm recreating the game using the Godot Engine so that it works across multiple platforms, along with a few other things. FWIW, the rewrite feels so much better because Godot is designed well for games. Source: almost 3 years ago

Ordinary Puzzles mentions (2)

  • Show HN: Ordinary Puzzles, a free puzzle game inspired by Picross and Sudoku
Ordinary Puzzles is open source, is built with React Native, and it’s available on the mobile app stores, on the web (as a PWA), and as an Electron app. Hope you give it a try! (Please don’t skip the short tutorial :P) https://ordinarypuzzles.com/ P.S.: The puzzles come from https://github.com/jsnell/linjat (the author is credited and has been contacted before using them). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Running React Native everywhere: Browser Extensions & Electron
⚠️ This post is more of a fun experiment than a real tutorial :) I'm not aware of many React Native for Web apps running in Electron in production (besides Ordinary Puzzles and DevHub). And I've never heard of anyone running React Native for Web in a browser extension before. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
