I have deployed an app on kubrrnetes cluster with external IP. Now instead of accessing it via IP address I wanted some domain to redirect to it instead. So I registered a domain on “.tech”. There I went into options and created A record that points to my IP address. Works fine this way. Sure. I personally prefer other Whois providers over ICANN (there are lots of Whois providers, including GoDaddy). I use domaintools.com because they show more data and I like the way they lay it out, including a visual country flag for the website host location.
