Tara AI Reviews

  1. Easy agile, made for teams

The UI is so clean, it makes it desirable to use. Reporting is very easy to understand - without any of the complexity that comes with creating reports (like in Jira). I like that it has an opinion - it’s built around agile’s best practices. Easy to reprioritize in between sprints, and the sprint board is easy to understand so it’s great for first time agile teams.

🏁 Competitors: Jira, Asana, Trello, Wrike, monday.com
    👍 Pros:    Sprint focused|Easy to use|Information is easily accessible|Easy integration|Unlimited users|No sign up cost|Great customer support|Automation and custom functions|Slack integration
👎 Cons:    No mobile app atm|Occasional bugs
  2. More time doing stuff that actually matters

My team has always worked adhoc on everything without properly using a project management tool. Once we adapted our workflow to Tara, it worked wonders for our organization. Tasks are easily grouped under umbrellas (Requirements, i.e. Epics in Jira) and everything is so visual that it's never painful to actually manage your tasks. Sprints make it easy to see what you need to get done this week, and we run daily standups using that view.

Highly recommend Tara to smaller teams that just need to focus on getting stuff done.

👍 Pros:    User friendly interface|Great set of functions

  • I was going to quit and my coworker just put in her two weeks
Great advice overall, but I would centralize this list in an app dashboard, e.g., Tara.ai, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc., and automate the outbound updates to the C-suite douche patrol. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Contacts app with basic personal CRM features?
I’ve researched and considered: - BusyContacts: the best option I’ve found so far but no iOS app - Cardhop: used before, but unsure the features (or lack thereof) justifies the subscription fee - Covve: Nice features, but no macOS app. Also not sure about privacy. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Ask HN: Where are the QR codes to swap contact info?
Does anyone know of an app trying to solve this problem: You want to give your phone number to someone you just met. The humans have to exchange the digits by talking or typing. One phone should display a QR the other phone scans and the phone number gets inserted into contacts just like that. i.e. The QR should have all the info of a VCard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCard I've googled around and found stuff... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
