10 Alternatives to Steam for Buying Cheap PC Games
Probably the best-known among the indie Steam alternatives, Green Man Gaming offers a totally web-based store that sells digital keys for Steam, Origin, Uplay, Battle.net, and just about everything else. The store offers standard retail pricing on most titles, with extra discounts for “VIP” customers who use the EXP loyalty program (but that just means you make a permanent...

  • 3D combat on VTTs?
VTT with a 3D environment exists, this one is called TaleSpire. It's been implemented to good effect in several seasons of Dimension20. Source: 12 months ago
  • First time DM and I'm not sure what level to start off my players
I'm doing a DnD session on Talespire and when doddling around I was able to develope a decent sewer/port type dungeon with little traps, hazards and mobs themed to sewers. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Which Virtual Tabletop would you recommend for a solo experience?
I've been eyeing TaleSpire, but I wanted to ask you fine people what you think before making the plunge. Setting aside all connectivity issues and looking purely at the tabletop experience on a single PC, which VTT do you think provides the best experience for a solo game? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Best D&D map makers for dungeons, cities and worlds
I feel that list articles don't meet the standard for a good HN submission. In the interest of discussing tabletop map tools, one that isn't mentioned which is frankly amazing is: TaleSpire[1]. The quality of their asset packs for building maps is fantastic and you can actually play with friends using it. [1] https://talespire.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • What are good alternatives to roll20?
Talespire - 3D! Cool features and heroforge support. A little bit of a learning curve to make actual maps though. Also, making a 3d map is killer for immersion, but it also kills your prep time. Definitely recommend, if you're interested in 3d and choose this one, that you learn to use the community to its fullest to help you save on prep. Source: over 1 year ago

For anyone who wants to buy it, you can from greenmangaming.com, and download it in Steam! Source: 11 months ago
  • Help me pick out my first DLC to buy! :)
Lastly I’ll say check greenmangaming.com as they usually have sales for Destiny dlc. Source: 12 months ago
  • Why Linux?
Except you can very much buy xbox games (even digitally) from other retailers besides Microsoft. greenmangaming.com and amazon both sell xbox digital games, I'm sure other retailers offer codes too. Actually come to think of it I know you can get codes off of best buy's website, and their brick stores offer cards with digital keys on them. So does Walmart. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Today I did something... I pre-ordered SF6
Are you on PC or console greenmangaming.com usually has like 10% on preorders for PC. Source: about 1 year ago
  • yeah don't buy steam keys..
You got scammed.... Try using greenmangaming.com or just buying from steam directly. Dont be an idiot and get ripped off buying stolen or hacked cd-keys. Source: over 1 year ago
