Taiga integrates seamlessly with popular anime and manga databases such as MyAnimeList, AniList, and Kitsu, allowing users to easily manage their anime and manga lists.
  • Tracking Automation
Taiga can automatically detect and track the episodes of anime you are watching, eliminating the need for manual updates and ensuring your lists are always up-to-date.
  • User Interface
The application has a sleek and intuitive user interface, making it easy for both beginners and experienced users to navigate and manage their lists.

Possible disadvantages of Taiga.moe

  • Resource Consumption
Taiga can be resource-intensive, especially when running in the background, which might not be ideal for users with older or less powerful computers.
  • Learning Curve
While the user interface is intuitive, some users may find the initial setup and configuration to be somewhat complex, especially if they are not familiar with similar applications.
  • Limited Mobile Support
Taiga is primarily designed for desktop use, and lacks a dedicated mobile app, which could be a drawback for users who prefer managing their anime and manga lists on their mobile devices.
  • Dependency on External Databases
The application's functionality heavily depends on external anime and manga databases. If there are issues with these databases or changes to their APIs, it could affect Taiga's performance and features.
  • Update Frequency
Being an open-source project, the frequency of updates and new features might not be as regular as with commercial software, potentially leaving some bugs unresolved for longer periods.

Bootstrap features and specs

  • Responsive Design
Bootstrap's grid system ensures that webpages are responsive and adapt to different screen sizes seamlessly.
  • Pre-designed Components
Bootstrap comes with a variety of pre-designed components like buttons, forms, modals, and navigation bars that streamline the development process.
  • Cross-browser Compatibility
Bootstrap ensures that your website will function correctly across different browsers, reducing the time spent on debugging issues related to browser inconsistencies.
  • Extensive Documentation
The documentation is comprehensive and well-organized, making it easier for developers to understand and implement Bootstrap features quickly.
  • Community Support
With a large and active community, finding help and resources related to Bootstrap development is relatively easy.
  • Customizable
Bootstrap allows you to customize the default styles and components using Sass variables, making it adaptable to any project needs.
  • CDN Support
Bootstrap can be included via Content Delivery Networks (CDN), which can help to speed up the initial load time of your web pages.

Possible disadvantages of Bootstrap

  • Uniform Look
Websites built with Bootstrap often look similar because many developers use the default styles and components without customization.
  • Overhead
Including the entire Bootstrap library can add unnecessary weight to your project if you only use a small fraction of its features.
  • Learning Curve
For beginners, the extensive set of features and classes can be overwhelming and take some time to learn.
  • Dependency on jQuery
Older versions of Bootstrap heavily rely on jQuery, which can be a disadvantage for projects that aim to minimize dependencies.
  • Specific Structure
Bootstrap works best when you adhere to its predefined structure and classes, which can limit flexibility for more complex or unique designs.
  • Customization Challenges
Deep customization can be difficult and time-consuming, especially if you need to override many default styles and behaviors.
  • Performance Issues
Using a large number of Bootstrap components can lead to performance issues, particularly on lower-end devices.

  • Best Web-based Anime List App for Desktop?
Taiga is really convenient, it's a desktop app that uses and syncs your MAL/AL/Kitsu list. It recognises when you're watching an episode (either through an official streaming site, or downloaded) and updates your list (can also be done manually in one click), it can also set your discord status as "watching XXX", which I find interesting. The interface is basic but fast, it's easy to browse your anime by score,... Source: over 1 year ago

I used to pay for anime services, but they're all just so bad in their own ways like trash sites or censorship that I canceled and started yarring. If you're not afraid to set sail and use a VPN (which I always recommend), you can use something like taiga.moe which not only lets you connect to a tracker like anilist, but also lets you search torrents for individual episodes and complete seasons.
