And on a Mac this is where I fail to see the market for it, particularly at $100. If you just want something lightweight to open text files but still have some basic syntax highlighting, there are heaps of choices that are better Mac apps. Copy the whole document, and insert it into TED Notepad - now it's only a question of a few keystrokes before you have extracted all words and made an alphabetized list showing the number of times each word appear. (word frequency) This is also a great way to catch alternate spellings which your spell-checker might not flag. I use Kompozer for the few times that I must make something more complicated than what I can handle in my text-editor :) Seriously... Use TED for text entry and editing - after a short while you won't want to downgrade to a GUI wordprocessor... Source: about 2 years ago

Sometimes I'm editing 2 documents at once, so I needed another text editor and I found this: TED Notepad is better than Notepad. It's free. I mean really free, not "free after you register and give us your credit card number". Source: about 2 years ago
