Real easy to use-- at first. As time went on it got harder and harder to get it to work. Finally it 'lost' my password, so I couldn't use it, and 'Support' never got back to me; but they did send me a 'customer satisfaction survey.' Hah!

    👎 Cons:    No customer support!

  • Stripe Terminal iOS & Android SDK
Hey, I'm creating a POS system and want to integrate Stripe Terminal for accepting in-person payments. I need to have offline capabilities so the server-driven integration is no option sadly. So I'll need to use their iOS & Android SDK's. Can anyone help me with this? Or tell me how to integrate two SDK's into a flutter app? (I'll probably be using the BBPOS WisePad 3). • Gesture-based payments
Finally, using gestures solely would only work if a customer is part of a program that already possesses their credit card details. If a gesture is not used as a confirmation input but as the payment method itself, we need some way to match payment details to this gesture and this user. For example, let’s imagine that a customer wants to pay with gestures that they trained on their smartwatch. We could imagine a... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Making a point of sale app
The short answer here is: there's companies which will provide you a cloud API to interact with a card reader they provide, and that's the least awful way to use one. These include Stripe (https://stripe.com/terminal), Square (https://squareup.com/us/en), SumUp (https://sumup.com/), and going towards the enterprise end, things like Adyen (https://www.adyen.com/pos-payments). • Can I integrate Stripe terminal with my POS system?
We'd love to have you! Make your way to stripe.com/terminal and go through the docs. There's a nice sample that uses a simulator to show you how to get it done. Source: about 2 years ago

Stripe does have a physical terminal too (https://stripe.com/terminal) but I've never seen it at a merchant. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

  • Americans are spending billions on stuff they forget to cancel
I use a service called Privacy [1] to generate virtual card numbers, which I than use with all of my subscriptions. All of the virtual cards are tied to a physical credit card used as the funding source. I get a notification every time a card is charged or a charge is denied (if it's above the set limit or no longer active). This has saved me from fraud where a single-use virtual card # I used to pay for airport... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago

  • Gift cards that work with tutanota.com? Or private virtual cards?
Ideally would be something I could buy anonymously with cash since I want to use it on a health related site, but I'd accept a private/name hidden card at least. Not sure if privacy.com cards, wise, or others might work with it. Source: 5 months ago

Lol, Also helpful tip. If you're going to use Fubo you should also use privacy.com. It lets you set up single use cards with spending limits so you don't accidently get charged. You can cancel the cards at anytime too. Source: 5 months ago
