They've even improved custom status pages to include an automatically signed certificate too, so you can make a site like status.yourdomain.com...   For webcam I suggest a cellphone(s) and the droidcam or iruin software. Plenty of tutorials on youtube on how to set it up. Its pretty easy and I've used some very old cellphones with decent picture quality. Source: over 1 year ago
