Sorry I responded to the wrong Post. Account making is deactivated. But to my knowledge the Trials, which don't require a Stadia account, do still work. https://stadia.google.com/ and then click on one of the links that say no account needed. It will take you to a Google account login page if you're not already logged in. I don't know if you can connect a controller once you are playing a Trial.
