    I’m 🙈 like everyone else about writing directly into the AO3 editor (don’t know about Wattpad, does that autosave?) – even a browser-based alternative that autosaves like online notepad app, ompad, zenpen or an etherpad would be safer for writing (not for storing drafts ofc). Maybe if you look for something very clean with cloud storage + autosave you could try Dropbox Paper. Or Focuswriter might be a great and... Source: almost 2 years ago

    DraftJS, Slate, ProseMirror, Quill and more - they all use their model for abstracting dom (unfortunately I don't rememeber what was the exact reasoning. Quill has some article on that https://quilljs.com/docs/delta) I can see now the surge of new RTEs that simply use contenteditable and dom. Is it that isssue from the past that led those libs above to use abstractions - are not valid... Source: over 2 years ago
