Redis is an open source (BSD licensed), in-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache and message broker. It supports data structures such as strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets with range queries, bitmaps, hyperloglogs, geospatial indexes with radius queries and streams. Redis has built-in replication, Lua scripting, LRU eviction, transactions and different levels of on-disk persistence, and provides high availability via Redis Sentinel and automatic partitioning with Redis Cluster.

All games are stupid expensive. Why reduce the price on a 15 year old game when you can sell it the same and it sells sometimes? It literally cost them 0 dollars, they're not gonna run out of stock, it's not gonna go bad like milk, they don't have to produce more copies nor do they spend a dime on maintenance or patches or whatever, they even forget to update the certificate on spore.com sometimes. For the adventures, this likely means you purchased Galactic Adventures from a place other than EA/Origin store and did not redeem your CD key. You must redeem a CD key for Galactic Adventures on EA.com before your adventures and captains will appear on spore.com. Source: about 2 years ago

I have the steam version as well, and have had no problems with it before. But I checked the EA twitter, and everyone buying the new fifa are complaining too, and it looks like its their account management system that is down. You can't even log into spore.com right now, which means its on their end thats down. Source: over 2 years ago
Valkey and Redis streams are data structures that act like append-only logs with some added features. Redisson PRO, the Valkey and Redis client for Java developers, improves on this concept with its Reliable Queue feature. - Source: dev.to / 1 day ago
Of course, these examples are just toys. A more proper use for asynchronous generators is handling things like reading files, accessing network services, and calling slow running things like AI models. So, I'm going to use an asynchronous generator to access a networked service. That service is Redis and we'll be using Node Redis and Redis Query Engine to find Bigfoot. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
Slap on some Redis, sprinkle in a few set() calls, and boom—10x faster responses. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
Real-time serving: Many push processed data into low-latency serving layers like Redis to power applications needing instant responses (think fraud detection, live recommendations, financial dashboards). - Source: dev.to / 28 days ago
