Spine Animation mentions (27)

  • What kind of animation is this?
There are a bunch of programs that use rigged and meshed 2D images that create these sorts of animations. I have only used “Spline” for game animation http://esotericsoftware.com/. Source: 11 months ago
  • Godot 4.0 beta 16: Initial .NET 7 support
Haven't used it. The system itself might be decent but the editor for it is probably bad. Lots of things in Godot like that. We bought a license to Spine from http://esotericsoftware.com/ It has a godot runtime SDK. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Flexible, extensible way of handling 2D sprites with multiple parts
Something to mine for ideas: http://esotericsoftware.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • how can I let users to design their characters?
2D with skin and bone animation could use something like Spine 2D. There is no official runtime for Godot 3.x, but there is one for Godot 4. Source: almost 2 years ago
