  • I NEED HELP! How can I fix this?
I use an app to check system temps: OpenHardwareMonitor. Some people like SpeedFan, does most of the same stuff. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Question - Are the loading times supposed to be this bad right now??
That's not super common (but it does happen ofc). It might be worth running a tool to scan the drive and take a peek at the SMART data. I typically use Speedfan https://almico.com/speedfan.php. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Computer has come back from a repair shop wiped and is missing A vital app I used to control fan speeds and I cant redownload it. Any alternative apps?
You'll get better gpu support from Afterburner, but if you have a weird chipset or an incompatible fan controller, good old SpeedFan still has a few tricks. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • SSD and HDD usage goes to 100% for the simplest processes
Check disk health with speedfan from http://almico.com/speedfan.php. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Computer Software for me :)
Speedfan Freeware gives you some info about your temps, but its mostly used to set up your custom fan control, such as increasing rpm of your front intake fans when temp of GPU and/or CPU reaches a certain point and much more, how much you can do with it depends on the fan controller chip that is used on your mainboard, so you mileage may vary. • How can I change my fan speed on my TUF gaming , I tried Amoury Crate but it didn’t work?
You have access to the fan curves only thru Armoury Crate's manual mode . I haven't personally tried this but there was an app called "notebook fan control", it might be helpful . I used to run it on my GL502VY laptop back in the day where it was kinda impossible to change the fan speeds. You can find it on github. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Embarrassing disappointment - first day with G14.
I used to use on my old HP a program called Notebook fan control https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/releases It's not that easy to setup, but it's a real saviour if it knows how to work with a particular fan controller. Did anybody try that, is there a support for G series? I'm doing my own investigation but no results yet. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How does laptops detect its temps?
You can use Notebook Fan Control to manually control your fans, although it might take some tricky setup if your laptop doesn’t work with any of the presets. Source: about 3 years ago
