  • Help Setting up SoundWireServer on a Pi! All steps seem to work fine, then at the last step I get "No such file or directory", even though it's there! This is driving me crazy.
Good point, but I did get the RPi version, straight from https://georgielabs.net/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Stream my PC audio through my notebook speakers
I see a lot of software that can stream a desktop audio through a phone, like Soundwire or Audiorelay, but I'm looking for something to use my notebook speakers instead and I can't seem to find one. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Are there better options for broadcasting my desktops audio?
Still only does the audio, but soundwire works over your network so will work as far as wifi: https://georgielabs.net/ used it for months and other than the interrupting voice saying "free version" it was pretty stable and consistent. You can also tweak app settings to either reduce the latency or increase robustness to network jitter. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Can I use my phone as a bluetooth audio transmiter for my computer??
I've been using SoundWire for this and it has worked well. https://georgielabs.net/. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Audio options for 3 to 5 zones.
    - MoOde or Volumino - these pieces of software have images that can run on each raspberry pi. They will allow the pi's to show as airplay and spotify destinations. Volumino also has a snapcast plugin. Volumino also has a homeassistant integration for control from there. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Budget or makeshift DAP for roughly $130
If you don't mind doing a little work, a raspberry pi (2, 3, 4, any of them work) with moode works great. It'll do airplay for streaming from your macbook and MPD for playing your library off the sd card. Source: about 1 year ago
